Plain-language summary
Gita Companion is a daily Bhagavad Gita reflection companion. The app uses account, reflection, check-in, and lightweight analytics data to keep your daily practice connected across sessions and improve the early Gita Companion experience.
Gita Companion is not a religious authority, guru, therapist, doctor, legal advisor, or emergency service. You should avoid entering sensitive medical, legal, financial, emergency, or highly personal information into reflection or chat fields.
Data Gita Companion may collect
Account data: email address, internal user identifier, and account creation/authentication metadata.
Onboarding and preference data: familiarity level, primary goal, guidance style, practice cadence, and reminder preference.
Reflection and chat data: user reflections/messages, AI guidance responses, timestamps, and related continuity data.
Habit and check-in data: daily ritual status, dates, streaks, and related progress signals.
Analytics data: product interaction events such as teaching opened, reflection started, check-in completed, feedback started, and Gita reference opened.
Waitlist and feedback data: update-list email/name/answers and feedback notes you choose to send.

To create and secure your account.
To provide the daily teaching, reflection, check-in, and reminder experience.
To preserve continuity across sessions and improve beta quality.
To understand where the MVP flow works or breaks without selling your personal data.
To manage early access, feedback, support, and launch communications.
Service providers
Gita Companion may use trusted service providers for hosting, authentication, data storage, analytics, support, email delivery, app distribution, and AI-assisted reflection features.
These providers are used only to operate, secure, improve, and support Gita Companion. We do not sell personal data.
Sensitive server credentials are not shipped in the public app or website.
Bhagavad Gita references and AI guidance
Canonical verse metadata and external references are provided to help users study further. When a passage catches your attention, you should consult trusted translations, commentaries, teachers, and primary sources.
AI-generated explanations and guided reflections are intended to support personal reflection. They should not be treated as definitive scripture commentary, professional advice, or a replacement for qualified teachers, community, or personal judgment.
User control and deletion requests
You can request account or data deletion by contacting support from the email associated with your account.
